Good and Bad News


Hi all.

I have good news and bad news...

I will put back a version of Deep Born this week.
That's the good news...

Now it won't be the one that was worked on this last month.
That's the bad news.

To put it simply, the hard drive of my laptop died, and the game project with it.
I tried to recover what was on it but the hard drive is not even recognized. Which includes more than 3 years of diverse and varied gameplay that I kept for classes (but that's another story). I still kept some projects on a drive but not this one (in general I only store the projects that I archive so this one that was in progress was not part of it.) I also lost "By the Light Grace" V.2 but since I have the basic project I can always work it again. it's more complicated for Deep born which was developed on "RPG Maker MV" and "Deep Born Anger" developed on MZ. I started the project from scratch and lost absolutely everything (except a few drawings shared with friends).

So the result is the following.

-I will put back the Post Jam version of Deep born with the correction of Erronwolf (I can't find the jam version anymore. I think it was on the hard drive. If I find it it will be there too). I will take until the end of the week to make some changes to Deep Born post jam and you will find it on the page this weekend. You can play it without spoiling the story of "Deep born Anger" which I will RE-create because it had nothing more to do with the Jam version. You will only have the concept of the story.

-I abandon RPG Maker for the majority of my projects to move to Godot.
I will still do RPG Maker to release small games here and there until I am ready to release real games on Godot. Just to easily test stories and concepts.  I also do not want my work to be considered as yet another RPG maker project (because yes the software has many detractors, and that is one of the reasons for my second choice). I was thinking about it before I lost everything, it made me make my choice.

"Deep born Anger" is not dead, but as I have become very attached to this project, it is no longer intended to be a small game and will therefore be developed on Godot.
You will also find the "Deep born" project file for those who want to see how the first version was created. This is the least I can do to apologize for this false plant.

I hope to release another game this month but I admit that it really broke my morale so I will do what I can.
I will tell you about the "BOSS" projects when I release the game of the month.

. Sorry for that mess. I'll do what I can to make up for it in the future. But now I'm going to go back to work and get depressed.
